Current Exhibition

Composition ’19
Thomas Struth
at the Hilti
Art Foundation

From 12 April to 6 October 2019 , the Hilti Art Foundation is showing works by the German artist Thomas Struth (*1954), whose subject matter addresses civilization and nature as well as technology and culture.

In the exhibition, curated by the artist himself, Struth has combined his photographs with paintings and sculptures from the collection of the Hilti Art Foundation, placing his work, for the first time ever, in the iconographic and aesthetic context of art from the late 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition not only illustrates Struth’s appreciation of the artists he has selected but, in fact, of the Hilti Art Foundation collection as a whole.
